A vibrant movement for transparency in food labeling has blossomed across the country. More than half of the states are considering GMO labeling. Join us to understand today’s unfolding headlines, what is evolving nationally and become intimately familiar with what you are serving on your plates. This lively discussion will include the health and environmental risks associated with genetically engineered crops and how we can share this overwhelming topic with those we love and our communities.  Martin Dagoberto from MA Right to Know, and Kristi Marsh from Choose Wiser are joining forces to share this critical topic at Connecting for Change. Both are well-known speakers and advocates who have had national influence on the protecting our food system, and, both call Massachusetts home. Workshop participants will walk away with tools to enhance their learning curve and tips to take actions in their community and connections with regional efforts toward food democracy.
