Kristi Marsh, Founder of "Choose Wiser"
"Choose Wiser started with my journey to align my lifestyle with what felt right, congruent, and harmonious with our beautiful and dynamic human bodies, and to reduce my exposure to harmful chemicals.
It has become a passion of mine to educate women on harmful toxins and how they are getting into our body and our children's bodies without us having a say in the matter. Instead, I hope to empower women to become vigilant consumers, identifying chemicals to avoid and more important choosing safer alternatives.
My intention is to educate the everyday woman who wants, in her heart, to make the right choices for her family, connecting the gap between the expert, the scientist, the environmentalist, and the consumer.
My resolution is to enlighten my generation one woman at a time and witness that light cast onto our children's generation."
Outside of Choose Wiser, she was the visionary behind the Black Tie and Denim Gala, where she raised over $40,000 in the name of Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She also volunteers her time as a Greenschools Board Member, making an environmental impact in our school systems. She has done this in the name of respecting our bodies after barely finishing aggressive treatment for breast cancer diagnosed at age 35.
Even if, one year from now, you find out the only thing your workshop did was to educate 50 or so women so that they made our little world a better place and had improved their lives and the lives of their kids...wouldn't that be worth it? As for the people who say you are "woo woo", if there are any, they will one day look back and say "oooohhhh, that's what she was talking about!!! - Tara
